Cherry Filled Homemade pop tarts, warm as an enemy’s blood.

Klingon Blood Pies


2 whole Refrigerated Pre-made Pie Crusts
½ cup Cherry Preserves
1 Tablespoon Cornstarch
Egg Wash – 1 Egg beaten and 2 tsp milk


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees
  2. In a small bowl mix Jam and Cornstarch
  3. Roll out pie crusts and cut into strips roughly 3×8 inches
  4. Spoon about 1½ tbsp Jam mix into end of strip and spread the jam out to within ¼ inch of the edge of the pastry square
  5. Brush edges with Egg Wash, fold dough over Jam side, and place on lightly greased baking sheet
  6. Crimp edges with fork and poke 3-5 holes on top with a toothpick to allow steam
  7. Bake for 15 – 20 minutes until golden brown
