Who doesn’t love a costume party? I find adding that extra element of competition just makes it more fun, as everyone tends to put just a bit more effort into their costume.
In an attempt not to pigeon hole anyone into conforming to the Disney Princess motif we created a few categories for the costume contest and stressed in our invite that guests could get creative.
We gave out name tags at the start of the party for guests to announce the princess
that inspired their costume. This helped avoid the awkward “who are you supposed to be?” conversations and ensure a smoother voting process.
About halfway through the party we brought the guests attention to our “Voting Booth.” This basically consisted of an empty tissue box, pens, and these voting ballots.
